Into Your Presence Lord, Into Your Presence!!

In Your presence Lord, In Your presence do we find fullness.

In Your presence, Our hearts are touched from on high, kissed of the Spirit. In Your presence Lord, is healing brought forth.

In Your presence our hearts are Open. In Your presence is mercy and grace. In Your presence is the fragrance that permeates our soul, In your presence, we are made whole.

In Your presence we are renewed, in Your presence we are restored. In your presence we are brought into the Holy of Holies. In Your presence we hear Your heartbeat.

In Your presence we hear Your song of restoration, of healing, of being one with You!

Into Your presence we come Lord, Into Your presence, we come!

Into Your presence we come, that we might be kissed of the Son!

In Your presence, we are being molded, in Your presence we are beginning to shine, for in Your presence Your glory shall be revealed.

Into your presence, Into your presence we come!!

Slow Down!!

What more could you ask for!!

A beautiful day, a cup of coffee, Starbucks, of course :-)

And the Word of God!!

To be able to sit here in the little Oasis, as I call the little park down the street from the house.

To sit here at my portable desk and chair and enjoy God’s creation is such an awesome thing. It is something we need to do at times.

To slow down and enjoy that which is around us. To enjoy the presence of the Lord that surrounds us, even as the storms of life rage on, in the midst of it all, our Father gives us a harbor, a place that we can come into His presence.

As I sat here this afternoon, listening to the breeze blowing through the tall pine tree’s, to feel the heat of the sun, listening to the brook as the water flows by and sensing the presence of the Lord, that the Father and I are having a time of fellowship, knowing that the Lord is speaking and saying, “Be still and know that I am God!”

As I took time to be still, as I observe the things around me, it made me aware of the love that the Father has for me, for us, when we come into His presence, no matter where we are.

Here in the park, in our study, at Starbucks, no matter where we are His presence is with us if we will but allow Him to make Himself know to us, in the stillness of His presence.

He takes delight when we enter into His presence, when we are in a heart-attitude towards Him, with a heart of thanksgiving, yes even in the storms, the battles, when we “don’t feel anything” we know that He is with us.

That during this time, it is a sacrifice of praise, of worship, that it becomes a matter of faith, trading our weakness for His strength, at that moment we are made strong, for then that seed that was planted within, begins to blossom even more and we begin to reflect the work that He is doing within.

He is truly a Father, that loves to hear the voice of His children. That He takes delight when we come into His presence, no matter where we are, for it brings rejoicing to His heart. He rejoices over us, He takes delight in us.

There is a healing that comes when we take time to enjoy the things around us, of being in His presence, in a park, having a cup of coffee, that in the midst of everything going on around us, He is ever present with us. He is just a prayer away, a heart attitude away from us and when we think upon Him, He fills our thoughts with His presence.

It is a time that we learn to listen, to hear, to open the word, to get directions, to pray, for those that He brings to our hearts, knowing that we can be in an attitude of prayer at all times and we can practice the presence of the Lord no matter where we are.

There is such a healing that takes place when we take time to just be in His presence, no matter where we are, knowing that we are becoming one with the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. We are learning to daily hear the heartbeat of the Father!

Are you listening, have you slowed down a little, even in the midst of all that is going on around you, to find a place in your heart, to be still and know that He is God, a Father that loves you, cares for you and desires to hear your voice, to just be one with Him and He, with you, allowing Him to minister to the deep wounds of the Heart.

For in His presence is healing, that touches the deepest wounds, the balm of Gilead. Allow the Spirit of the Lord, to touch your heart today, for indeed in His presence is Healing!!

Oh, What a Journey!

Posted by Paul on 23 Jan 2006 | Tagged as: Coffee Thoughts, Friends, General, Hope, Ponderings

Sitting here this morning at 03:30, listening to one of my friend Luanne Hunt’s CD’s. Listening to each song, listening to the music and hearing the words and realizing that each song is a journey in her walk with the Lord!

Each song to me this morning was like the Lord saying to me, “Paul, these are for you, listen, hear my heart for you, for I am singing them to you.”

I began to realize, how blessed I am, how the Lord has been walking side by side with me, making himself known each step of the way! Taking the events of my life and turning them into a time of intimacy with Him.

That He has taken this period in my life to mold and shape me into the instrument that He has always wanted me to be. He has blessed me in so many ways, that it is hard to put into words.

The events, the people that He has brought into my life, those who have encouraged me as I walked this path, who carried me along through their prayers, for that I say thank you!

Most important I want to thank my heavenly Father and my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, for being with me, for loving me, for covering me through the storms, the dark nights of the soul. For changing the path that I was on and bringing me to the place that I am, to be a pen in His Hand.

Of teaching me to listen, truly listen to the songs, to the words, to the people, that He brings into my life. To be given the privilege of sharing His heart, His love, His word, the simple things He has made real in my life, to let others know that it is in the simple things of life, the day by day events, that He reveals Himself and makes Himself known.

I look back to when this journey began back in 2003, to where I am now and all I can say is “Father, thank you, thank you for loving me and carrying me through this journey and bringing me to where I am now.”

“Thank you for the many new friends, new events, opportunities to share what you have done and what you have written upon my heart. Thank you for the many old friends who stood beside me, even when it was not easy to do so.”

Each day is a new journey, a new day, a new beginning, a fresh start, knowing that each day we are changed, as we yield ourselves to the Lord.

That we are becoming more and more like our Lord, that we are beginning to reflect Him more and more, as we spend time with Him, that we can talk, laugh and share with Him.

For He indeed is a friend that is closer than a brother and has brought us back into a relationship with our Father.

Are you listening my friends? Are you paying attention to that tug of the Lord, the wooing of the Holy Spirit.

Are you listening to the words, hearing the song He is singing too you? Drawing you back to that first love relationship with Him.

Bringing you back to a place of embracing Him with your whole heart, trusting Him to lead and guide you, even when you don’t understand the events of your life at times, knowing that it is then that He is the closest and the time we embrace Him with our whole being and say “Lord, where ever you lead, I will follow.”

My heart's cry and desire is to be that of an exhorter and encourager to others as they walk this path called life.
To let them know, that we are not a people without hope. That out strength, our hope, comes from the Lord and it is He that goes before us and prepares the way!
