There is just something about setting here at the table, oil lamp lit, looking out the bay windows and enjoying the silence of the night, the flickering of the lamp as I write.
A peace floods my soul, as I realize this is time that I spend with the Father, a time of drawing close and drawing strength from His presence.
The amazing aspect of this quiet time, is the sense, the awareness of His presence, that He is working in my life, my heart, my mind and spirit, changing me, molding me into the vessel that He wants me to be, it is in these quiet times that He takes delight in us.
It is in this time of stillness, in the quietness, that we begin to learn to hear the whispers of His words, words of hope, of encouragement, that we are given a sense of expectation, of life, fresh, a new, for each day, each morning, is a new beginning for us.
Like David, when we come into the presence of the Father, He hears our voice, He touches our tears, He embraces us, He comforts us.
He gives us the strength, the Holy Spirit to enable us to walk in life and in fellowship.
Each day as we come before Him, He changes us, removes the blockage and sets us free to walk in the light of His word, of His presence.
We are called daily to be one with the Father, one with each other, to build up the Body of Christ, that we are a many membered body, that the Father is bringing us together to reflect the light, the hope that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today and each day, let us enter His gates with thanksgiving, let us rejoice and lift up our voices and declare that He is Lord, and this is indeed the day that the Lord has made, that we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Let us reflect the reality of who He is, that our lives will reflect the reality of a life changed and made whole in Him!
Till later,
Paul

Speak Lord, speak to our hearts and open our ears to hear
Your Voice!
Teach us to know You, truly know You intimately, to be one with
You, in our whole being!
Without you we cannot breathe, without you we are unable to live,
without You, we have no life!
It is in You we find strength to live, it is in You that we hear, it
is in You we are made whole and in You that we are made
complete!
Made to be one with You, for it is in you that we create that which
You have called us to!
You have called us to write, to paint, to speak, to sing, to share, to encourage,
to exhort, to be the canvas, that You paint on!
Speak Lord, the words that create life, that we might rise up in the fullness of time,
of your purposes being fulfilled!
Till later,
Paul

Why do we have to go through some of the things we do, that make us feel like the last thing we are meant to do, is to succeed.
When everything around us seems to implode, to suck the very breath of life from us, striving to remove any expectation of hope that we have?
Trying to steal even that single thread of hope, that thread you have, that beacon of hope, that says against all odds, hold on, it is the one thing that we must hold on to.
That thread, that hope, carries us through the flood of tears, through the wounds, that gives us comfort, when all that we knew is gone and now we must hold on to that thread even tighter, knowing that we are being held in the palm of the Fathers hand.
That He is finishing a work that He has begun in us, that we see through a midst of tears, a heart of a Father, reaching out to us, embracing us, with tears in His eyes, He embraces us and welcomes us.
He takes that thread of hope and it becomes the foundation of what He has begun in us and the one thing that I know, is that which He has begun in you, in me, He will finish, for our hope, our love, is anchored in Him!
Hold on just a little longer!
Till later,
Paul
